Diablo3 !!!!!!!!!!!!

If it comes out in 2010, then people are going to be saying the graphics are crap, because by that time they wont be looking as awesome im sure.

I reckon we wil be playing it this time next year
 
I was dissapointed by it and thought it was no where near as good as San Andreas. But millions of others didn't think so. But the size of the game is immense and it took like, 3 years and 4 or 5 months to complete.

That video made it apparent that a lot is in place already. Didn't seem like they just spent ages polishing one little bit as a showcase as all those skills, drops, monsters etc were there and it seemed natural enough. Blizzard like to take their time though and there's no pressure on them to rush.
 
Diablo 2 has been pretty popular tonight, moreso than usual. Met a few people who just installed it today, either from new, or old players.

The fire has been re-lit! :D
 
I dug out D2 but now I think I may check out Titan Quest, you can pick it up along with the expansion for $19.99 on steam, never played it but people seem to say its a decent clone, plus it looks quite pretty :)
 
I reinstalled D2 a few days before they reset the ladder the other week. Few days of fun but the reset went and killed my enthusiasm. :/ Might have another go soon, fancy trying a druid.
 
Titan Quest is ok, nowhere near D2 though. Combat is unsatisfying and the gameplay is repetitive. Doesn't feel like the reward for leveling up is really worth it either.

the thing is tho starcraft 2 looked pretty polished when they showed it off in early 2007 and when you hear blizzard saying its only about 30%/40% done today you know its not coming anytime soon :( and we now know the new battlenet is being developed with starcraft 2 they would want to have some time inbetween game releases

wrath of the lich king by the end of this year, starcraft 2 + battlenet summer 09 diablo 3 late 09 early 2010 :(

Screenshots look awesome! But I don't know if im patient enough to wait to 2010! :(

Might be the first PC game Ive bought in ages though
 
with just 5 classes... im thinking

barb/warrior, amazon/rogue, paladin/priest, doctor/necro, then a sorc/mage.

That would cover the core styles of character.

I cant see the necromancer being a seperate class to the doctor
 
Looks interesting but I hope they have put in more content than D2. I was addicted to D2 for ages but my main problem with it is that even at the low levels you were simply rerunning content you'd been through already. It'd be nice to at least have different content up until the high end of the level range.
 
supposidly it had been in development by blizzard north and was almost compleate but when blizzard took them over the gameplay was pretty crap, but the storyline was good. so they may have kept elements of the one they created
