What a bad day...

To summarise, Subaru Forester Turbo, around the Sparkhill area. I pulled up to park, and this Forester had followed me only down 2 roads so I thought nothing of it. Next thing I know, they're blocking the road after I've pulled into the space. Just to note, this area is FULL of speed bumps as it was around the Stratford road, and you can literally only fit one car down the road at a time, meaning the road was completely blocked.
Rear doors fly open, masked men with crowbars and axes jump out. My initial reaction was "No no no no, no way", they managed to hit the windows a few times. I spot a dropped kerb and mount it, I'm on the pavement doing 30mph then I jump off at the next dropped kerb which leads me straight on to Stratford Road. I absolutely floor it up Stratford road. I was accelerating hard for 15sec, so I'm sure you can work out how fast I was going.. Next thing I know, another car is blocking the road, it just randomly stopped, by a bollard in the road so it wasn't easy to get past, who knows if they were with them or not.
Anyway, fly down more of stratford road, traffic, traffic, traffic, hard right down a road full of speed bumps, I'm really going at it hard to get away. End of the road take a left and they're not in sight, but I'm still going, more speed bumps, and traffic, they appear in my mirrors again. So I'm going down all these back roads of Stratford road and I wasn't sure where I was going to end up. Speed bumps speed bumps, kids and families all over the place, I'm trying to signal, and they can see this Forester chasing me, this continued for a bit longer, but obviously, they're in a Forester, they're not slow and they've got a hell of a lot more ground clearance then me.
Anyway, couple more roads and then I take a right, flipping dead end :( so sign posts no nothing, try to see if there's any gap, nothing, and then they ram me, they're at the windows again, and I'm fearing for my friend, thinking the windows are gonna cave shortly. No where for me to go, 3 guys outside the Forester and more inside. I give up. I shout you can have it. Unlocked the doors but the idiot is pulling my handle so my door doesn't unlock, the one guy steps back and my friend escapes. I'm stuck in the car, can't get out, can't drive it anywhere as I'm completely blocked.
So calmly, I grab my wallet, phone, pull the key out of the ignition and jump out the passenger door. I'm faced with a guy with an axe, and a guy with a with a crow bar, what the hell was I supposed to do, I dropped the key and ran.
I hear my car drive off, and I hear it for a good minute or so, man it sounds good...
Police were great, tracker company... well I'd rather not comment, but I'm going to. They hadn't received my transfer papers, so it was still under the previous owners name. Refused to give the police the location of my car, the woman specifically said she can see it on her screen. I was fuming, and it was still local. Only when I get to the police station did they contact me, and I had to pay £230 for her to tell them where my car was.. My car was stopped for 20min, obviously out of petrol because I know it was very low, and they've obviously made a clean get away. I've got the backing of the police and they want me to press charges for obstruction of justice, and sue their backsides off.
So today, they'll go over my car looking for stuff, they apparently found a hat in the car which will help a bit I suppose. The only funny thing was I guess is that all the people that saw, a) thought I was racing, b) kept telling me my car was spitting huge flames, and c) said they've never seen such good driving. At one point the car got so sideways it's untrue, I can actually picture the angle in my head, even I'm smiling about it!

Had it not have been for that dead end, and I had just got to the main road that I could see where the dead end was, I would have been well gone, they couldn't keep up. The reason I think they hit me too, was probably because they're brakes were shagged.

Ho hum eh? Gonna get it repaired and sell it.

sounds like your attempt at getting away was pretty pro, until the dead end ;) ( not your fault ofc )

The tracker company though.. need a good boot up the arse !

Just read the story! Flipping eck, sounds like a movie scene. :D

Did your mate run and leave you behind? :(

The driving was like a movie scene, had my raybans on lol. I have to say I've never been more impressed with my driving skills. :D I told my mate to get out and go. I was gonna take one last attempt seeing if I could get away seeing as my door wouldn't open, but I had nowhere to go and the petrol was low. Imagine if it conked out when they were chasing me, I'd be a dead man!

Sounds like you handled it the best you could mate :)

I bet you couldn't believe what was going on! Do you know what damage has been done so far?

Did you get a look at any of them?

Fair ****** play to you for the attempt you did make, I'd have done exactly the same (probably with less drifting ability!). Did any of them speak to you during the time you were getting out of the car?
What worries me is that they obviously weren't just chance criminals, it sounds like your car had been targetted....would it be possible that they know where you live?

Couple of asian guys, and a white guy that I saw. Couldn't comment on the ones in the Forester. I knew what was going on, I'm shocked that I reacted in the way that I did. My friend said I was completely calm looking for somewhere to go, and we think back to the chase and it was brilliant, I went back to where I originally mounted the kerb and couldn't believe that I did it, my car must have just fit on the pavement.

Damage wise, I caused no damage at all. However, my back bumper was apparently cracked so I'm guessing they hit me over one of the bumps or something. Then of course when they rammed me they rammed my door. Also when it ran out of petrol or for whatever reason they stopped, they wrecked some bits of the interior so I'm told. Hopefully I'll see it today.

Did you get Jason Statham's autograph too? :p

Seriously though that sounds well bad :o:mad: You did the right thing though. No point getting beat up or worse over a car!

Well, I'm not sure I'd want to keep a car that I'd been carjacked in. That sort of thing will make you a little gun-shy....

Why sell it?

Personally.. I think I'd never want the thing back.

Everytime I drove it or saw it, thinking of the time I got " Jacked " and the people with axes who drove it off down the road..

Plus he might get targetted again ! :(

Have you still got the WRX?

If so, will you stick to that?

Glad your alright though, that must have been hellish to go through. Nothing like that happens down here.

Josh

Jesus thats terrible, glad you're all ok, and sounds like you handled it really well. Hope you get somewhere with the tracker company and get some cash out of them.

Still got the WRX too lol. Why sell it? Well firstly they've got the key, I know that can be changed... but you know! I don't know if they know the car or what, and to be quite honest, I'm not willing to put my friends and family in that position again. If I was a loner, no family, no friends, then fine. But there is no way I'm letting anyone harm my friends. So up for sale it will go :) I can't complain, 3 Subarus in 3 years and I'm only 20, so meh.

Do you really need to ask?

If he presses charges then he will be found (via the car) and probably seriously harmed.

Sell the car and lose all connections, a level of security.

Sounds like something from a movie!

Glad to hear your ok :)

I am with Fox, I wouldn't sell it. Why should you give up a nice car due to these idiots.

These guys sound a lot different to a crack head with a pocket knife asking for your keys. People who will chase you in public in masks and wielding axes arent the kind of people you want being easy to identify you for getting them locked up.
