Hi guys, currently in the market for a new toy, i've only got £2500 ish to splash out on but i am looking for something relatively nippy with a turbo.

Spec wise, looking for something made within the last 10 years, under 80k miles.

Am i pushing my luck?

Thanks

to be honest, no real reason other than to say i've got a turbo, lol. Just would like that little boost from time to time.

If not a turbo, anything else you'd recommend? nothing too big mind

Good fun at first but at least to me the novelty has worn off after a few months. Foot down...lag...power - I'd prefer something minus the lag :p

Why turbo anyway? Really annoying way of delivering power.

It isnt really on quite a few standard turbo petrol cars as you can hardly feel it even has a turbo. Even with my car if you have good accelerator control, you hardly feel the surge it has compared to when you floor it. Its all about control of your right foot as the turbo creates boost relative to load.

If you're willing to stray to maybe 12-13 years old then you get most of the cheaper, mid 90's jap coupes in your list. 200SX, MR2T and the usual crowd.

Think of an engine, any engine - even the oh so wonderful 3 litre bmw straight 6. Add a turbo. It now makes more power, and is easier to screw more power out of in the future as and when you want to or can afford to. Add to that the chatter as you back off and whistle as it comes on to boost, the turbo exhaust note and the kick in the back as it spools, not to mention the huge boost in torque as well as power and that is a reason why people want turbocharged engines.

And you can fit a dump valve.

Why do we always get loads of replies denying that lag exists, MR2 Turbo's for example (as in the post above) are laggy to the extreme!
