It's always nice to get something new and hopefully an improvement :)

I think in the ingame XMB will be similar to how you invite friends through Vegas 2 although you'll be able to do it actually "ingame" not just at the title screen.

If it is then it's far to clunky & not a touch on the 360 still.

Where as the Trophy's so far sound like an improvement over the 360's achievements.

Although neither interest me as all the decent online games I've played have a pretty good friends invite built in and trophy's/acheivements are well to put it bluntly a stupid idea that's not needed. Your far better off have ingame achievemnts like in Uncharted, Vegas 2, COD4 etc
 
No mention of being able to use the chat function in-game or the ability to invite friends in-game. Those are pretty much the only two things i wanted :(

So instead of talking to your team mates and help coordinating an assault or finding snake, you would rather be chatting to some bloke tarting about the race track in GT5P? GRRR :D
Seriously there a several more features not mentioned in this video so we will have to wait and see when it comes out or if they give us a change list.

Ok, you have a point, MGO wasn't the best example. Would be nice to chat to someone while playing certain SP games tho.

I know what you mean like i said to you earlier we dont know the full extent of the changes, he didnt even mention how to quit out of the game without using the xmb. Also this is not the final version of the PS3 system software so maybe if its not done now the VC will be at a later date, perhaps with the Clan update thing. I wonder if this will also feature the youtube upload function that devs have had for a while?
 
my boy uses cross game chat all the time, its a good way to get in contact with someone as who really wants to stop playing and type in messages, also as pointed out i don't see game invites through xmb within a game - possible two of the features that really are needed. Cool about the music though......liked the google search also
 
Cool, this should shut a lot of 360 owners up, who lets face it are the ones who moan about the unit not having in-game xmb in the first place.

For me as a PS3 owner, it will be handy to send someone a reply if they send me a message whilst I'm playing a game, however I doubt I'll ever use the custom soundtrack option as I actually like the music that comes with the game.
 
ok found abit more info of some leaked photos which of the Trophy system I think the game is Super stardust HD and its being compared against a friends trophies
