Convince me to buy a PS3....

It's a great all-in-one.

- Has some great games (Everybodys golf world tour, MGS4, GTA4, GT5p, COD4 etc)
- Awesome as a media server and streamer, very easy to use.
- STUNNING dvd upscaling quality, and an amazing blu0ray player. plus is the only player atm that can be fully updated with the touch of a button, so actually the most future proof blu-ray deck out there.
- quiet compared to the xbox 747.

The main reasons there.

O and on another note, 1080p isn't a biggy unless you are pretty close to the screen Unfortunately it is marketed as the only thing to have with a HDTV, but the quality of a tv is not down to how many pixels it has. Focus on settings up the tv correctly as well as the PS3.

Yea ooops, that meant timed exclusive. I meant sixaxis as in the function not the pad. Games such as Drakes and Folklore I thought used it to an advantage. There were a few I wasnt sure/havent been fully confirmed, L.A. Noire is another.

I disagree, Very much so.

Media sharing is done pretty much the same, add to that the fact the PS3 has media card slots, and a hard drive that is fully functional as a storage device, Not gimped like the 360s, I fail to see where the 360 comes out ahead.

Off the top of my head the 360 plays more formats than the PS3 does, not really a big deal but I had some movies on a USB stick that played fine on my 360 and wouldn't play at all on the PS3.

But, I use my PS3 still anyway because my 360 is a noisy beast even when idling at the dash.

I actually find the PS3 much better and nicer to use for streaming and playback, the 360 feels clunky in comparison.

Yes but it has to be formatted as FAT. (I'm about 80% sure )

No, but you can pick one up for a fiver and there's no difference between the cheap ones and the dear ones.

No. Sony have already lost 3 billion, they can't afford it right now and I doubt it will happen this year (maybe closer to Christmas). Might as well buy one now and just get a DualShock imported and sell your sixaxis. It would only cost you about a tenner to do this overall.
