i think its incredibly funny how KNiVES and myself share the same opinion
and how i am marginally annoyed and he has taken it as a personal attack on his good character by sony themselves!!!
also - you know how you can access gamercard info outside xbl
is this at all possible now [or in the future] with the implementation of trophies?

I know, im stuck in my ways now! Haha! The reason i said you have to exit the game was that i only noticed it synchronized when i was out of the game.
I hope they make it so that when the trophy unlocked notification comes up, if you press the PS button it takes you to the trophy list and to that achievement like the xbox. I can't help but compare and want the features from the 360 on the PS3.

Yusssss, now i can play music when playing fifa08 and dont have to listen to Andy Gray going "OH HE should have SCORED FROM THERE" after accidently hitting shoot from the half way line!

I really don't see why people are complaining tbh??? I'm just happy that I no longer have to quit the bloody game I'm enjoying to read a bleeding message which could be something interesting or could be complete drivel. And now if I see a mate online then I can invite him, via a quick message, for a multiplayer game and vice versa.

i got 7 trophies. look slike you need 10 to reach level 2 im guessing

the list is in the trophy collection though, i dont see much point in posting them
I've never had a go on an Xbox360 so all I know is I've got a launch day PS3 that does much more now than it did when I bought it and I've enjoyed using it from day one.
I won't go out my way to win trophys though as I don't see the incentive. At 2.5 full inches I already have an adequatley sized penis.

LOL! Achievements have never been my thing, but im wanting platinum on sshd quite bad.

Just got it. Seems like a solid update.
Im hoping that most existing games get an update to add trophies to them.
XMB takes a second or so to load icons whilst in game, but thats to be expected.
The way i see it, and this isnt a fanboy comment, is that practically every advantage that the 360 had over the PS3 (like 'awards' & in game chat/menu, your own music, ect; ) has just been equaled with one firmware update.

After so many years of Sony, in my eyes, being lazy with what they do, i am actually impressed by the PS3. Now we just need more quality games....

I feel sorry for those who are buying the console new. So many updates. LOL
I agree though, Sony are doing a great job. I've always bought Sony consoles and this one seems to be so much better than the competition in terms of quality and that sense of value.
Firmware updates on the PS3 are always full OS installs and not incremental like MS updates, so anyone who buys one new will only have one update to install!
