Got stopped for speeding yesterday

Unmarked Volvo pulled me for 53 in a 40. The first thing he said was 'Do you live in Pickford Green?' which I thought was strange. 'No, Eastern Green' I replied.

After he informed me of my speed he said 'What speed were you doing the other night?'

'What do you mean?' I replied. 'Well' he said, 'you overtook an off duty colleague on his motorcycle doing 110 mph on the same stretch of road. We knew it was you from the Briskoda stickers on the back of your car.'

'Be more careful in future, off you go'.

I got pulled for 70 in a 40 before, lucky the guy had a BMW pulled over doing the bloke for drink driving and he just flagged me in cuz he must have heard me coming, thankgod I was let off with a "keep the speed down mate" and he asked if I'd been drinking which I hadn't :D
 
"Be more careful" means not slow down but simply be more careful about when and where you do your speeding :p
 
How did the off duty guy know you were doing 110mph unless he tried to keep up with you and therefore broke the limit as well

I read that as the off duty guy was doing 110 when he was overtaken...

Thank goodness there's still coppers out there allowed to show a little discretion. :)
 
usually if your nice to them they let you off, well they have done to me in the past, its when your cheeky they nail you to the ground.
 
If that was a camera, you would have been FUBAR-ed in the 110mph case and slaughtered with 3 points and £60 fine for the other.

Thank god for humans.
