This is where music becomes noise.

I love all music (except one as above). I respect it ans see how people can like it.

But not this

Please someone tell me why people like this :confused:
 
I could listen to that all day.
You have to get into what the artist is feeling and be empathic with his thoughts.
When you put the music to the atrocities of Hiroshima it all fits in.

You aren't really supposed to like it, that's the whole point, it's supposed to be horrific to listen to to convey the sense of horror that was Hiroshima, it's not really recorded to sell well or get in the charts, it's art.

Think of it like the incidental music to Hiroshima if you can, I doubt you'd want to tap your foot to a tune if you were witness to it.

I actually have no idea of the music that the OP was referring to. It could well have been James Blunt for all I know.

Incidentally, the Penderecki piece - which is actually called "Threnody To The VICTIMS Of Hiroshima" can be heard here:
. It's very good.

That just about sums up my thoughts while I listened to that.

Between 1:34 and 1:50 this is just noise without any structure or composure. It spoils the song for me, and it really grates the ears.

.........spoils the song............tbh it is all pretty awful.
 
almost random noise can make amazing music.. check out some Pan Sonic for ambient ..noise

:)
