'Ok Sir, if you'd like to have a quick check around the car for faults and sign this sheet...'

'Errr it's got a Vauxhall badge'

Yes - I have a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 for a few days. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

First impressions: It has an engine? But the interior feels remarkably less plasticy than Corsas of old

I'm off to cry for a bit, then I might take it out some more.

I share your pain, my brother has a 1.2 corsa just as a P O S runabout, and i had to drive it yesterday. It amazes me how someone can drive it as a regular car...

I take it this is one of the new corsas? If so burn it. The thing handles like a tank and you cant see a bloody thing due to the A and C pillars being a metre thick.

It does feel suprisingly massive inside in a completely bad way, in that there is loads of space in crap places you dont care about space like the dashboard

It doesnt rattle or anything though which suprised me. And the interior seems solid enough for a cruddy supermini. Quite why ANYONE would spend £12k on it escapes me though.

Rust? Sweet jesus

And my dad always quips "should have got a beemer" whenever I have the tinest of irrelevant issues with my silly plastic car :D

Quick, park it down the road before someone sees. What will they think of the Fox household if they do? :p

You may have brought this on yourself by moaning about the Corsa in all those threads...;)

Did you take the 530i into the BMW dealer, and they gave you Corsa? I had to take the 330i into an indy for a new radiator (for reference - ouch!) and I got a 07 Mini One (and it was Sytner BMW branded!).

Yea - to be fair I usually get something decent (Had a 320d last time) but they'd run out today so the backup Corsa they usually use for insurance stuff was all that was left :(
