Bungie has always had some weird obsession with the number 7. So much so that every 7th day of the 7th month is heralded as Bungie day. Last year we were treated to some lovely free Bungie flavoured gamer pics and theme, which was only up on market place for 1 weekend, keeping it super exclusive to the ones who managed to grab it in time. This years a real treat as they're giving us their new upcoming Halo 3 map Cold Storage, completely free. For those that don't know, Cold Storage is a remake of Halo:CE's Chill Out and you can check out a few images of it, in the gallery below. If that wasn't enough there will also be free gamer pics and theme, although whether its the same as last years we won't know until its released. As well as the Legendary Map pack getting a reduced price of 600 MS points.

Just a reminder incase anybody missed it :)

Its going to be free from today and will likely hit the Marketplace around 2am PST (9am GMT I think) or so I've been told and I personally cannot wait :)
 
Tonight maybe, but not during the day since I only get 10-15mins at a time so it wouldn't be worth it.

Art wise its a very pretty map, but I cant see myself enjoying this in Matchmaking at all.

They've made the same mistake they did with Blackout where they have kept the weapon configuration the same =/ (BR replaces the pistol though).

For example there are just single plasma rifles laying around which as we know are pretty much useless unless duel wielded (or used with a melee attack), there is also only 1 Battle Rifle :o

So all we are going to see is people charging each other with either Assault Rifle or Plasma Rifle and finishing in simultaneous beatdowns, not exactly my idea of a good game...
 
what a terrible map.
iv played 4 games on it and the only game where everyones tool of destruction wasnt melee was the fiesta game where everyones was rocket launcher. 2 killtaculars in the 4 games i played cos everyone just runs in at each other. thats not fun. bungie yet again putting all their coding efforts into making people use the assualt rifle. FAIL.

But you're a retard, your opinion doesn't count.

Pretty much all Halo 3 maps look boring, not many play as well as 2v2 epitaph.
 
I agree with both of you to be honest :p

Epitaph is a terrible map for anything other than 2vs2. Otherwise you get someone around every corner+shield door camping with either a shotgun/hammer or camping up on top of the pillars with rockets.
