Prison

Weekends are the worse 23 hours locked in your cell and an hour for yard time unless its raining then you don't even get that. No its not as bad as the stories you hear either but it is hard graft if you get on a work detail.

Me too, I know some people break the law and do bad things but I have a hard time making fun or or wishing things happening to people which I wouldnt want happening to me unless it was really personal. You will need to find things to do/read/think/exercise.
 
I read somewhere that its better to be in Prison that work for the Number 1 Corporation in the world.

a hard man like you crapping it at prison? what ran through your mind when you were doing it? did you think there'd be no repercussions?
 
A friend of mine is in prison for an undefined period, minimum of five years, and he's saying its not that bad... as Kappa said, get into books, perhaps writing... my friends doing a lot of creative writing now... that said, thats because he's not allowed to mix with the general population in there.

Don't cry, don't show them what you are feeling. Don't tell them anything personal, they'll just use it against you.

Soap in the shower thing is a load of ****** I reckon, but don't bend down just in case.

Keep your head down, but don't be a push over. Don't socialise too much and don't **** off the big guys on purpose.

Good luck mate. I had a talk from 2 prison officers at school last year, and we got to ask all kinds of questions, I'm sure all prisons are different, but apparently most of the rumours you hear are true, and it ain't a nice place.
(This was Chelmsford Prison)

your first 2 weeks will be the hardest....after that you should be ok.
it wont be nice but life goes on.

Someone was definately flaccid last night.
 
Not been inside for a long time now touchwood and while you are sat banged up in your cell you will know what they mean when they say "you cant put a price on freedom".
Anyway back to your prob,you say your charged with gbh if your victim was girl/child in your in for some shoepie/trouble.You cannot go to prison for rape and say your inside for theft as the inmates(trusties)will have access to your files which will be easy to look at say you get a job in the kitchen or library a trustie will get a glimse of your file and know what your inside for,gbh very tame.
Hopefully you just battered some white guy after a nite out in which case no worries,prison life is not at all how the media would have you believe, rape gang rape never heard of that after 7 years inside.
However sex offenders/rapists/child batterers are given plenty of kickins and rightly so i might add,while this is happening the wardens/screws will NEVER rush to stop this,they will prob have a casual stroll over to the trouble by which time the victim has had a really good beating.Inmates getting thrown over balconys was not uncommon at my stay at Armley Leeds,these are usally
sex offenders/rapists/child batterers.Your first day will be the acid test of how your stay at prison will be,inmates will have you as an easy target be prepared to stand up for yourself and if you are confronted by someone built like a brick ****house my best advice would be hit him before he hits you.
