Devil May Cry 4 - Worth getting?

The 360 version was a good solid game. If the performance is good on your PC and you have a pad to use then I'd say it's worth getting.

download the benchmark to see how well it runs on your PC

ive watched my kid play through it over and over on the PS3 and it is very shiny, the PC version looks even better

Played the demo and it's awesome. Forgot how fun the Devil may Cry series can be. Especially at 2560x1600 with the high res textures in the game, kicks the 360 version right in the gonads. Definitely use the 360 joypad though, makes it feel consoley but with pc quality graphics.

What's a good budget Xbox controller for the PC?

I used to love DMC on the PS2 :)

tbh you cant go wrong with a x360 controller, specially the wireless version for PC, its support in games is probably the best from what ive experienced

Strange I thought it was excellent, and considering the somewhat appaling treatment the pc gets with most console port overs I think Capcom should be commended.

I will certainly be buying it to show my support

It didn't seem like a bad port. Probably just the fact that I've gone off games a lot lately :)

Best to ignore my opionion on this one :p

Well I don't really play with a controller, so I'm looking for as cheap as possible

Rather good for a console port, my dated GTS320 can handle it at 1680x1050 with everything on super high (runs at around 70 fps, though the game only allows 59hz at that resolution so I get tearing everywhere unless I turn on vsync). Doesn't seem to be as rock hard as DMC3 though, and Nero doesn't play as well as Dante IMO (can't use different styles such as Royal Guard which is my favourite). A 360 controller is a must though, it's much, much more playable.

After playing the demo, i have purchased the game (out friday) :D i really liked it! Im quite picky about games too i aint brought one for ages, so im looking forward to playing the full version (i have a 360 controller too)

It ran well on my x1900gt (yeh i know i need to upgrade, i will do soon as the 4850 is £100 inc vat) even my gf liked it and she hates computers ... so i say go for it! ;)

Its definately worth getting on the PC as its the best version.

The cutscenes on the PS3 version (I just sold) were some of the most incredible ever created. Some of the graphics were also well done but to be honest nothing exceptional.

PC demo is very well optimised for all kinds of hardware not just highend stuff. Capcom Japan handled the port and they know how to get good results on the PC.

Game is an arcade adventure with fighting elements to progress further and minor puzzles to solve. Not quite as good as DMC3 but still very enjoyable to play.

I may get it, depends on how it will run on my system. I will try the demo in a bit and see how my system fares. I've always enjoyed the DMC games, even though the third was insanely hard at first.

I'm borrowing it off a mate for the 360 atm, it's pretty good. Graphics are awesome, must look amazing on a high spec PC. The combat isn't as good as Ninja Gaiden though.

Played awesome n my imitation ps2 controller on the pc, ran full details dx10 too, definitely getting this, finally more lean back hack and slash games for pc.

i cant work out whether to buy it or not love dmc series and its does look awesome from what ive seen of the demo.
