well , I've had enough of those ring nuts at hsbc, lost me card, rang up for replacement , sent me one, week later still no card, rang them, card aparently got lost in post. Its funny how me bills don't though...lol.

So who are the best bank?

Must have an English call centre, and have the best interest rates :)

I have been with the Clydesdale Bank AKA Yorkshire Bank and ive never had a problem with them, English call centers and got my new card through pretty quick.

But its hard to say whos the best, You'll get people who have been with one bank for years and haven't had a single problem, then you'll get somebody else who has been with that bank and had lot's of problems.

Nationwide are pretty good, but i wouldnt know any better...

Pretty good bank, the only issue i had was to transfer money to another building society nearly cost me £20

So i just took the money out and went across the road, Depends really what type of account you want though.

HSBC are pretty good - I've had some very good service from them, and for karmic reasons (I-spoze), some brainless-types. but generally far better than average.

At the end of the day, who gives you extra?

:p

Thye've got a savings account going at the moment, that so long as you deposit £25 every month, you get 10% interest!!

Having recently switched to First Direct for my mortgage, the service I have recieved from them has genuinely been fantastic. If they say they will do something, they do, and they are always happy to sort things out for you ASAP.

If all call centres were as good as those, there wouldnt ever be any problems, as half the problems are caused by morons at the call centres IME.

id say co-op when it comes to customer service (uk 24/7 call centres) and it is important to them to have something the bigger banks dont which is good customer service and ethics not too sure on best rates though.
