It wasn't fully charged. I'd imagine that indicator is slightly logarithmic - it'll display 'full' for something like 60%+, then drop. It's also going to have the correct voltage despite having sod all capacity. It'll be better after a full charge, but you can charge it when you like.
The LCD and WiFi are two of the biggest drains on it. Don't expect the battery to last more than a few hours if you're, say, watching a video on iPlayer.
Is there anyway of not activating the contract and unlocking it like before with the old iphones?
So you can just buy the handset and unlock it and not pay the contract?
You need to do the activation instore now i think.

tuaw is reporting that activation hasn't gone very well in the retail stores 'because O2, that's the UK wireless company that has the iPhone, uses an activation system that only works with IE. Apple had to install Fusion on the Macs in the UK Apple Stores in order to activate iPhones on the spot, and it seems that the system isn't working as smoothly as many would like'
O2 are not very good at this are they.
O2 only use XP in their shops, it should be up to Apple to test that they could connect to the O2 platform before the day of release surely?
Well they could have ran bootcamp on a couple of PC's to do it tbh.
thats the same as the V1, something weird about how if you set your region format to UK it assumes you only want 24hr.
I've got mine set to New Zealand and the 12hr option comes back![]()
