Annoying things about your car?

Civic Sport 1.6 2004, doesn't burn oil, breakdown, feel too sluggish or anything like that, which frustrates me, cause I really want to try other cars but just love mine to bits! Can't bring myself to list it!

It doesn't have iDrive.

I haven't used the iDrive but from what I've seen it's an utter PITA...is this the case? or does it just take "getting used to" ?

That's actually it I think.

Edit: It goes BONG for loads of stupid crap I dont care about yet doesn't bong when its about to explode or something.

BONG BONG BONG BONG YOUVE GOT 45 LITRES OF WASHER FLUID LEFT!!!

BONG BONG BONG BONG ITS 3C OUTSIDE!

:D

*small light silently illuminates to inform you the engine is about to explode*

EDIT: would be nice if I didn't have to use simply maths to figure out the MPG but oh well :)

When its been raining my car wont idle until the lambda has warmed up making it idle dodgy for a bit :D and my boot randomly opens when i accelerate hard, and i always think my rear windscreen has fallen out :(

Yeah, bar the niggly points i have stated its been a very good first car. Its been very reliable, i've been able to service myself very cheaply, i've only had to top it up with a tiny bit of oil since i changed it last year, the heater is nice and toasty and there's plenty of room for all my RC gear :)

It will get replaced this october with either a mk1 Focus 1.6 or a 1.25 Fiesta or maybe a fiesta zetec-s purely for economy reasons. The reason for the poor mpg on the escort is that it needs to be worked to build up any pace, if i drove it like a coffin dodger mid 30's would be acheivable.

Good first car to learn basic servicing on etc :). My EX had the 1.1 'bonus', although painfully slow it was ridiculously reliable :D

White carpets - great idea.

Silly internal braces to stop the chassis wobbling about - eats up load space with the seats down. The other day 2 small book cases wouldn't fit, they went in Jane's Polo fine :(

Creaking steering and no one can work out why it does it.

Alloys take 4 weeks to clean properly.

Annoying beeping the second you start the car to tell you that your seat belt isn't on.

Rear seat bolsters get crushed when you lay the seats flat and take days to puff out again.

Stupid air pump do dah makes it run like arse for the first minute or so and sounds like the exhaust is blowing.

Zero steering feedback.

Exactly, all i needed was a quick flick though the haynes manual and i could do a full service including full oil change and filters, air filer, spark plugs, rocker cover gasket, adjustement of the rockers, fan belt, rear wheel cylinders and shoes, front pads and discs and a full bleed. I think all the parts cost me about £100 for that lot, the brakes being the most expensive bits.

Brakes squeak.
Drivers door pops back out if you slam it too hard.
Drivers door wont lock if you close it too lightly.
It has as much ground clearance as a Freelander
Occasionally wont go in to second when dropping from third until I double clutch.

99 Civic 1.4 Sport

No Vtec y0 i
When under 20% fuel, it doesn't start first time
Smelly aircon/heater/windscreen wiper fuel - no idea which it is.
Swirly paint and 2 scratches chips on rear bumper.

Mechanically sound which I am very thankful for.

That the rear windows don't auto close with the keyfob like the front windows, they open all at once though!

52 plate CTR:

-Rattles from dash.
-Windows rattle when down.
-Intermediate driveshaft heat shield rattles/buzzes annoyingly at ~3K RPM.
-Slight notchy 1st-2nd gear change when cold.
-Leak into boot (still uncured despite numerous attempts to fix).
-Seat belt returns on both front belts are slack and don't take the belt back readily.
-Headlining is loose at boot hatch (need a couple of clips to fix).
-People who can't spell VTEC.
-Or even iVTEC.
-Slightly sticky handbrake on initial pulling off.
-Ridiculous fuel consumption, despite my best efforts (<3 VTEC y0!).
-Chipped paint on bonnet/bumper/splitter.
-Easily marked interior plastics.
-Type R driver's floormat wears through after 0.000045 seconds use from new.
-Questionable alarm system reliability (hopefully fixed).
-Vagueish steering.
-Terrible paint/lacquer on wheels.
-Rubbish headlights.
-Rubbish stereo.

That's probably all for now.

/edit:

Have another few:

-Unexplained knocking from front just before full lock.
-No thermometer.
-No MPG readout.
-Screaming engine scares my wife.

Apart from the parking dents from idiots in Tesco...

1) Slight rattle on a cold day from inside the drivers door. Probly just a bit of wiring flapping around.
2) The warning bong scares the **** outta me, and it comes on for just about anything - blown bulb, low washer fluid, low fuel etc.

That's it.

Otherwise it's a paragon of common sense and reliability. (touches wood).

Accelerator pedal sticks at idle and you have to proper push it to unstick it
Brakes squeak
Rusty wheel arches
Slow

Sure there's a lot lot more...

Edit:
Electric window button sticks
