Play from Xbox 360 HARD DRIVE - New feature

On another note... do you think this also could mean we will have Blu-ray sized games? i.e more detailed games, more content on the one disc? being as now they wont have to stick to just 8gb discs if they are offering HD installation?

Or am I on another planet lol.

Finally you can have more than 2 people in a voice chat!

The copying games to the hard drive is nice but I'm not really that fussed about the noise the dvdrom makes anyway.

No because not all 360 have a HDD, 20Gb (well about 13) is probably to small for multiple disk games so unless MS want to split the user base to the 60/120Gb HD only people. Also we not sure if you need to have the other disks in the drive or just the first one?

not exactly the best thing i have ever heard

i cant see how any of this will benefit me in any way shape or form

MS have done well here, although I do find it a little hypocritical that the 360 fanboys (I'm not accusing anyone on here btw) are giving it the whole 'in your face Sony' about the HDD installation, when previously they've gone to great lengths pointing out how uncouth it is to have to install a game before playing it.
I may end up grabbing a 360 once this is all implemented, assuming the price comes down a tad further.
MS should let people do upgrades with normal HDDs though, that would be a crucial gesture, it's one of the few things Sony got right from the beginning.

I was one to mock the install feature on the PS3 but it does half a job, at least MS have gone the whole way and are letting you install the whole game instead of a part install it, personally I will only install the most played games like COD 4, GTA 4.

Good news really, although I hope the installs do stay optional and we don't see developers just sneaking installs in the mix for the hell of it.

Party play sounds great though as does downloading away from your Xbox.

MS really need to bite the bullet and make HDDs standard now, possibly even letting owners of arcade systems have a free 20GB drive to get everyone on par.
That would be a smart move in the long term, although they'd get a fair bit of stick about it to start with. Might be prohibitively expensive though.

what is this Xbox Live Primetime? It sounds the most interesting of the new features there, yet I dont know what it is.

I think, it is a new section that will have like a lot of entertainment, for example they will be a new feature to play quiz shows on the 360 and compete for actual prizes.

MS have teamed up with Edimol, the company that brings us Big Brother, Wheel of Fortune and loads of other random TV quiz shows.

I think also Primetime will include the photo, video sharing section aswell.

so do you reckon they will pave the way for developers to make new boxed quiz games etc that take advantage of this Primetime, or do you think it will be content released on Live?

This could be an important part in the future of 360 tbh, I was playing Buzz on my mates PS3 at the weekend and havn't had so much party multiplayer fun for ages.

It's all on Live. Some "shows" will have live hosts and you can win real stuff :D
