I've been hearing rumours that it will be based in the Halo Universe, but will not involve Master Chief or the Halo's (and wont be called Halo obviously).

It will be more dark and gritty and move away from the cartoony styled enemies and will center around a group of ODST's instead of Spartans.

For the above rumour I'm leaning more towards Bull**** then anything else :p

What do you want, porn backgrounds?
It's aimed at the mass market, with ever changing habbits and tastes, it's not aimed at 13 year olds who are embarrased to be seen with their parents.

How is being able to create a dude opening it up to the mass market? If you want to play dress up, play the sims. Just seems like a waste, there was nothing wrong with the old look. The whole selling point of the 360 is that it didn't have any of this **** like mii's or home.

I just want basic info like whos online and new messages etc. Not 'community' features.

The old dashboard worked perfectly fine and im they are fixing something which wasnt broken.

i must have missed that in the manual never mind 360 was out before anything else though
so do you dress up snake in your mgs4 game?
since you dont own one that works i doubt you really are affected

You are right it was not broken, but they seem to be going towards the wii market and having family based games etc. I dont really mind a new interface change, infact i really like it.

But im not going to be spending much time on their unless im using the Netflix feature or playing games/watching films.

edit : also it looks like they are trying to make it intergrate with Windows Media centre more by changing the look at it.
