Resident Evil 5 Official Release Date (March 12 2009)

RE5 will be a big hit like GTA IV was (prob not as big, but on that level) R* delayed it, and delayed it, and delayed it. and when it came out, although still had the odd glitch etc, it was and is mint and was well worth the wait :0)

I cannot wait til March 13th 2009 and defo will be worth the wait.

Fingers crossed that Resident evil 5 doesnt do for expectations what GTA4 did to be honest.

Big let down for moi. Never been a major GTA fan, Been a massive RE fan though since the 1st one.
 
I just hope the co-op doesn't cripple the sp game. I really don't want to have to play RESIDENT EVIL with someone else. It just wouldn't feel right. I'll jump into the co-op on my second playthrough though.
 
I'm assuming there won't be a Wii version, which is a shame as it's the only platform that I would buy the game for. Res 4 was excellent primarily due to the controls :)
 
This game is looking sweet. Long wait but it looks like it will be worth it. Shame there's no Wii version, it does look very heavy on the graphics front.
 
Well at least we know... pity its sooo far away but it happened to RE4... And 0...

Silent hill Homecoming looks like its out at the end of sept so will give somethign to play :)
 
RE4 was released for the GameCube in January 2005 in the US and Japan and March 2005 in the UK. I can't wait for RE5, if it's anything like RE4 it will be amazing. I am also looking forward to Silent Hill: Homecoming which also looks awesome, and that's due out in September as Konami have confirmed it officially.
