wtf... I missed that!

Mind if I join you?

He announced it after showing the new trailer for nuts and bolts, think this will be my first purchase for XBLA, hopefully this means that original goldeneye maybe coming to XBLA if the original banjo is.

Just finished watching an archive video of the Sony Conference, very professionally orchestrated I thought, no really big announcements but there certainly was allot of titles on display, you can't deny Sony still have a hell of allot of decent exclusives under their belt, there was just game after game being shown, tbh I felt that they needed at least another hour really to be able to go into certain games in more detail, overall I thought it was a solid show from Sony, they seem to be aiming to please the core gamer which is cool.

Although the actual games from the Microsoft Show were better, Sony puts on a better show.

I don't mean to be argumentative but do you mind naming those games ?, all I recall from the M$ conference game-wise was Gears of War & Fable 2 and a few crap arcade titles ?, all the rest were multi-platform releases, their biggest announcement of the show that everybody is calling 'the megaton' FFXIII, even that is multi-platform, that say's allot in my eyes, I really do feel the 360 is lacking in exclusive titles over the next 12 months I really do.

Perhaps, but the difference between Sony and MS is that the 360 already has a bunch of top rated exclusives, the 360 has kind of already brought most the big guns out, the PS3 however has only had MGS4 as the *big* exclusive.

Quoted for greatness!

Capcom conference was shocking 30 mins talking about Lost Planet movie and that was it no mention of any games coming out. :/

So what's the deal with bungie being pulled from E3??? Bit strange innit?

Yea very strange. Especially seen as their publisher is Microsoft.

For the last several months, we've been building toward a reveal of something exciting that Bungie is working on. We were looking forward to sharing that with our fan community during the week of E3. However, those plans were just changed by our publisher.

We realize that many of our fans are disappointed by this turn of events; members of the Bungie team share that disappointment.

When the right time comes, we look forward to sharing this exciting announcement with you. Until then, we appreciate your continued support and patience.

Is their publisher for their new title MS yeah?

Yes they still have an exclusive publishing deal with Microsoft that was agreed when they split last year. No one knows what the terms are or how long it will last though.

Reading into this a bit more it seems it could well be an XBLA title though I'm not sure why MS would not want that announced. Maybe they will keep it for a quiet time, what with all the fuss over FF13 and GoW2 there is already enough 360 talk. Also there is some speculation that it could be a multi-platform game, which would obviously not please MS, though I'm not sure if Bungie themselves would want to work with Sony or Nintendo right now. Some even say the announcment is fake just to stir things up a bit more! Who knows!

Maybe MS pulled it because they don't feel they need it now. Seems they easily had the strongest showing already, so it makes a certain amount of sense to save the announcment for a later date.

But why all the hype up till now? Surely they where confident the FFXIII announcement would be big anyway?

Just makes the whole thing look silly pulling it at the 11th hour.

Maybe it just isn't ready?

This is how i see the 3 conferences,
~
Prob upset a few people, sorry if i did but thats how i see it. If i was to rate them so far MS a B- (only for the net meltdown lol) Sony C+ pretty average no surprises, Nintendo C- no shock it was mostly casual but i have high hopes for the new wiimote add on.

I think you've pretty much got it spot on though I'd be slightly harder on Nintendo.

The Sony conference spent far too much time telling us how great the PS3 was and not enough time showing us why they think that. If I think about it, it was PSN that really had the great show with some very good looking titles but for main games the PS3 had a woeful display with nothing new other than a few CGI's (will they never learn).
