Or blow it on some retro gaming on the bay (get a mega drive! or a cube with the new zelda if you havnt encountered it yet), i spend the last £100 or so on mega drive and cube games (i ahve like 20-30 cube games and acessorys and my gf now has 10 new mega drive games we can play)
 
You could give me the money to buy a stab vest its kind of like giving blood you will get that really warm feeling that you have just helped save someones life, which I think is a bloody good deal for £200
 
I would presume that if someone didn't know what to spend money on and asked people on the internet about what to do then he doesn't really need to spend that money at all?
 
Well I don't know what to recommend to you then, prolly a 360 + 20'' TV...

Don't spend it on (imo) rubbish like holidays or food, you only enjoy that for a very short period, while a 360 will provide with hundreds if not thousands of hours of entertainment all year long...


Why a 360 ? imo because it plays GTA IV better, it can be flashed to read dvd-rw, and is cheaper than a PS3... Unless you really want MGS or Gran Turismo... But I want them 2 just as much as Halo 3 and PGR personally...
 
It looks like it may well be the 360 then, and that does have some very nice games coming for it! Will the 20GB HDD be ok for what I need?

If you don't mind removing demo's/games you don't use then np...
For saves it's more than enough along with like 10 demo's or 3 big games that need hdd install...

If you're too lazy to remove stuff then you might want to consider a bigger hdd.
 
its possible to mod a xbox360 so you can use a bigger drive im not sure how its done but i guess you could google it.
i know its possible because theres a company that sells xbox360s with 1tb hdd in them.
you can use a usb hdd but it doesnt work with xbox market place , as a cache , or for save games, aparently you could copy demos and save games onto one though
there is an easy mod but requires a specific hdd to work. probably impossible to find the actual hdd anymore
google "Western Digital SATA BEVS-LAT xbox360 mod"

edit aparently it now works with any Western Digital Scorpio BEVS series. drive not just the -LAT models

I'm so disappointed that no-one has said "spend the £300 on maths lessons1111" so I've had to do it.

Of the options there what should be number three looks to be the best, 20gb should be enough as long as you delete unnecessary downloads every so often.

It's really bad value for your money though, how long do you enjoy ( or you might not enjoy it at all, eg. I like junkfood more than anything else) your food? Then look at how many hours you can play on your xbox360...
 
DOn't spend it on pointless pc upgrades that last a year or so at best then need to be flogged on to upgrade again, as you can't play the latest games with eye candy on.

Get a PS3, you can play games, but most importantly it's a stunning dvd-upscaler, and the best overall blu-ray player out there.

Plus streaming HD pr0n off your PC to a 50inch tv can never be a bad thing ;)
 
Id wait before buying a 360 as they're upgrading the Hard drives from 20>60gb in the US by august which means they should start it here soon after too.
