Wow, what a way to destroy a movie ... shame on you for your ultra mega hype thread.
One of the films to see in the summer for me really with a few others, should be seeing it in the next few weeks or so. Cant wait. The trailers look awesome. But wish Joker had something abit more special but none the less looking forward.

The whole film is about Joker!
Not quite, Joker only is on screen when the films asks for him. DK is all about the relationship between Super Hero and Super Villain so Bruce Wayne/Batman is just as important as Joker in this.
Joker even says in the Prologue "What doesn't kill you only makes you stranger"
No. It's £15 here for the IMAX preview showing of it. I know cause I got two for the one in the Glasgow Science Centre. It's also £12.50 in the Cineworld.
Holy over-rated movie, Batman!
Saw it earlier today. It's good....but I don't know why it's getting such rave reviews, honestly. Ledger is absolutely brilliant, that's for sure! But to suggest this movie is anything special is laughable. The way most of the reviews are gushing you would think it's The Godfather with Batman in the lead role It's really, really nothing special. Very enjoyable blockbuster and one of the best superhero movies? Sure. A classic in any way, shape or form? No.
Are big-budget, effects-laden blockbusters suddenly cool again?
Heath Ledger though......fantastic. Such a loss

SO you agree with the reviews, the cast performance is sublime, the effects are sublime, Joker is sublime, it's one of the best superhero movies to date and a great summer movie yet...somehow it's not that special?

The 23rd at 7.30pm. It's the preview showing. Apparently you get "free stuff" for going. Obviously the extra you're paying means it isn't fee, but hay ho.

I think the fact that you seem to be the minority with regards to the movie is the problem.
As has been said over 23,000 people say its fantastic and more than just a great superhero movie.
