On this day in 1969, the Lunar Module 'Eagle' touched down in the Sea of Tranquility, and Man walked on the Moon for the first time a few hours later. Yes, it did happen. And yes, those of you who think it was hoaxed are a bunch of saliva-dribbling morons 
NASA has given a schedule for their return to the Moon. The current plan has a mission penned in for June 2019, using the Orion command module and Altair lander. Does seem highly boring of them to go for a Moon mission again - even back in the '60s, a manned flyby of Venus was considered feasible!
NASA's current Project Constellation schedule is here. The shuttle is supposed to leave service in 2010, so presumably they'll use Russian craft for ISS missions between then and Orion becoming operational. I can't wait to see how it all pans out.
