Either that or they've found the world's first 16 legged spider.

Also imagine waking up to one of these climbing your walls:

Met this fella when I was away last year, think he was a little bigger in real life. Good ol' England and it's awful weather not attracting tropical beasts :)

Just be thankful it wasn't one of these

that game was so damn good back at the time it was released! shoot the atenna off its head and it will die? thats how i remember that game anyway.

i could never do the nest at the end but i was only around 8 or so :)
my older brother whos amiga it was completed it though.

back on topic, is there even any spiders in england that can kill a person?

There were a few Black Widows imported but apparantly they died off in about a week?

I can't see how they'd survive here anyway with them being used to North/South America's climate. They'd just take one look at English weather and think "Oh no. Ohhhhhhhh no no no. Back in the box for me!".

Don't think any native spiders to the UK are dangerous, deadliest ive come across was a black widow in africa, tiny little things but ever so deadly.

Camel spiders arent actually that big, at there biggest they have an ~5 inch leg span.

Now saying that in my best distressed black widow spider's voice cracked me up!!!

Would i be right in thinking black widows aren't all that fatal they just muck you up quite badly for a few days (and can be fatal)? Or are they really just murderous little beasties?

Black Widow bites can kill within 2 hours (I think) if they are not treated. Most people survive though. The bite marks can leave a nasty looking scar though. Seen many when I lived in the US.

There are no native spiders to the UK that are poisonous to a human. Same with sankes too I believe.
