Unlike nokias which are built to last.

Haha, never thought I would hear that. Iv gone through 4 x N95 handsets in the past year, 2 of them had the same problem (Volume button not working after x months, sliding becoming faulty), 1 which completely died after 2 months and the other one which had buzzing in the ear. Although saying that iv now got the 8GB N95 and after 3 months it still feels brand new so all is good!

My mate also had 3 N73's replaced within about 7-8 months, and his N95 replaced twice.

Although Nokia are leaders in the mobile market I wouldnt say they were built to last.

i've got a n95, volume key also doesn't work - i opened it and the mechanism has the tiniest amount of solder on, and had just come loose. too small for me to fix though

Looks lilke an N95 rip off - the N96 is far better looking.
Obvioulsy going for the populist vote with an 8mp cam - probably best to wait & see what the quality is like.

a surround-sound cinematic video experience
It ships with a 14yo to throw popcorn at the back of your head?

8 Megapixel through a lense that small?!

I have a n95 and I also thought Nokias were built to last this one feels like if I drop it ill be re assembling it for an hour.

Tiny, high-resolution sensors are always noisy (grainy) in low light yet they don't even fit a proper Xenon flash to help out?

s60 is the OS right, which is what n95/96 use yea?

If thats right, i take it that means all the apps you can install on the N95/6 will be ok to install on this?

Yep, its a good step forward, as s60 does dominate the market, and its good for samsung as they get to tap what nokia have essentially created, but also developers don't have to code for yet another platform :)
