Hardspell 4870X2 Futuremarked.....

http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-4870-x2-preview/

wow this thing roxxxxxx

looks like ATI have leapfrogged Nvidia big time

......... :o

card looks really nice?

everyone will say it will launch at 250 pounds!

edit, the reason it doesnt look impressive at lower resolution is because the game (or most games, seem to stop at 100 fps roughly) and so when looking at 2560*1600 its a 5fps drop from 1920*1200 ... impressive

Well I was thinking of the 4870 next week but may hold off for this for the hell of it. 2048x1536 screen so might as well although I may have to upgrade my CPU to release the full potential of the X2. Surely I'll need more than 3.2Ghz?.

wooot 250 pounds?

this is for the 1024 version surely, not the 2048 version?

i read that some guy at ATI said they will not release a card for over $499.. which is probably true considering the price of the 4870 at release, and that you can get 2 of them for under 350, so surely the X2 will cost less than 2 X 4870?

"Micro stuttering"

What the heck is this thing that I keep seeing pop up again and again in various posts?

It's like some people are becoming obsessed by it? :o

It's because if your buying one of these cards, your doing so because you want the best performance possible. Having these hicups can get a bit anoying, especially if the card in question is on the pricey side (as you would expect with the flagship product at the time). It's effectivly slow down that happens every so often. So there you are with your brand new expensive system, smooth game play and then it chops up.
