Following on from the thread about Fantastic Contraptions. I thought it a good idea to set up a challenge:

Who can complete the level "up the stairs" in the fastest time abiding by the following rules:

o Using the site http://FantasticContraption.com

o The ball must be firmly attached to the contraption, this means that using water rods as rope is not allowed, and a catapult to fire the ball can not be used. See here

o It must regularly complete in the same time (i.e. some designs take 10 seconds the first go, 15 the second).

o Proof must be provided in the form of a link to the design so that everyone can see and run it. It is however acceptable to only provide a time at first, then the proof towards the end of the time frame if preferred (to prevent people "stealing" each others ideas. Any proof submitted after the deadline will be discounted.

o The winner will be whoevers contraption completes in the quickest time on my computer abiding by the above rules by 10:00pm on Monday 28th July. I will decide the winner.

As a benchmark, here is Inquisitor's design in the other thread (hope you don't mind me linking to it):

Top 5: (as a guideline only. I will run all of the final top 5 after the final deadline to confirm exact time)

kaiowas 3.5
Col_M 3.6
Kreeeee 3.7
Haiku 3.8
Mohinder 6.5

A timed challenge is going to be tricky to judge, the game runs at varying speeds depending on hardware spec and the amount of stuff on screen.

Only way to determine who is winning would be to have someone run all contenders on the same machine.

I will be running all entries on my computer to decide on the winner. I am happy to provide an update as and when.
