and the front chassis rails were bent down.
SO yeah...not too much damage...

You paid £x for insurance to protect you in case something happens. Something happens, then you don't claim on the insurance?
I understand sometimes it can work out cheaper that way by the time you pay for excess and loss of NCB; but that list looks like it will cost at least a grand? Unless you got a series of good deals?

£650 for parts, £400 in labour - The body panels need colour blending (they are all trophy blue but naturally slightly different shades) so the car looks like friggin patch work painting will probs be about £300 with my guy?

I shoudn't worry about the paint. Being a Rover, it'd have come out of the factory with crap paintwork anyway....

Just run over the bugger with a cutting compound, see what happens. Not going to make it worse.
Well, as far as I know, nothing. But the driveshaft was pulled from it which could have damaged it inside, hence my question.
At a rough guess, it might have taken quite a knock given that the car lost a halfshaft in its adventure at the hands of a thief. (beaten)
It'll probably be okay if you don't drive a like a ****, Jake. Is it making much noise?
