Ok, maybe not correct subforum but i like emailed 3-4 sites based in UK which don't send to mainland EU.

I was shocked, because it's EU and not MARS or something?

Why is that so hard to understand that we're in EU?

I'm not breaking any rules now?

It's just because the companies don't send abroad. It doesn't matter how far away it is, it's their policy.

Yup, that sounds about right.
Even with the EU it's a lot more hassle and expense shipping to outside your own country, not to mention an increased chance of fraud at a guess.

i would also guess the fraud thing being a major reason

its hard enough working within your own countries laws

Look guys you ship to AUSTRIA, but not to SLOVENIA, who is 3 years now part of EUROPEAN COMMUNITY.....I think it's not fair for a customer like who would love to buy something from OCUK but can't :(

Fraud is not something to be affraid of. I already orderered a lot of stuff from Germany per example, carton was about 10kg :)

Paulus: laws?

OoOverclockaO: can you gimme some link?

It's OcUK's choice if they want to ship to Europe or not, fairness doesn't really come into it.
I've looked at buying things from the UK then shipping it here but 95% of the time the cost of shipping negates any savings made. The solution is just buy it where you are now.

www.google.com DPD is the 3rd result

DPD is part of Interlink Express although you do need an account with discounts applied I believe to be charged £16.

But to Slovenia, it will be more expensive I belive as a different zone - but shouldn't be more than £35.

I bought quite a few things from OCUK the fee £22 is ok if you need 3-4 parts at the one time and go for the special offers.

However this time round gfx and mobo they were on a par with local suppliers and the 22 pushed them way over.

Not their fault though, however £22 is the highest international price I've encoutered and I order a lot of stuff from all over europe.

Still at least they offer unlike most UK electrical stores and some huge online retailers.

I asked one why they don't ship aboard and was told that they got too much hassle for electric goods since the electricity supply was different in different parts of europe and some people actually cut the transformer off of a charger for a product so they could install their own regional plug (without a transformer). Obviously nuking the product.

Is Slovenia a part of the Shenghen zone?

If you have any friends in the UK, you could give them the money and they could buy it for you and ship it to you themselves. It's what I do when I want to buy things from America, anyway.
