Hey guys, really baffled by this one.
I know there's a lot of confusion between VIVO (Video In, Video Out) and AVIVO (hardware codec), it had me confused at first too. Basically just because a card has AVIVO it doesnt mean it can do video capture from component or S-Video.
However my 2900XT came with a cable that clearly shows S-Video in and component in as well as the two out. I haven't been able to get either in or out to work. I have the additional 8.7 AVIVO drivers installed and yet it still doesnt show up as an input stream option in VLC and trying to output via component to my TV doesn't work, though that could be the TVs fault (cheap TV).
What's I'm trying to do is hook my NTL TV box up to both the TV (which works) and the computer via a Scart to component splitter. The audio works fine and comes in through my line-in no problem. The video-in though refuses to show up at all.
Has anyone got video-in to work on an ATI card and how did you do it?
