halo 3 online issues =/

hey there,
just got xbox live and i'm having sum issues with it. first of i can go into halo 3 and get a server myself and it plays fine but when i got to join my friend in a game i get the message:

the party may have an incompatible network setup.you have an open nat,which is the most flexible.

what does this mean and how can i fix this? i also can't join a friend online in gta4 =/

If its the same friend in both games it sounds like he has a restricted NAT which he would need to sort out before you can play together. Try getting him to forward the correct ports and see if that sorts it.

Or if he is with BT it could be the HomeHub screwing it up as it does with my mate.

Yeh nothing you can do really, your nat is open so its his thats causing the problems. tell him to turn UPnP on in his router settings or tell him to forward the right ports and assign the xbox a specific ip address.
