Red Alert 3 Beta

Started to learn how to counter the rushes whilst building up big units to crush them. However the game always crashes, when you get large numbers of big units. Not sure what it's caused by.

I bought a cheap tiberium wars ebay

When i try and register it says the key has already been registered! :(

How can I play on line?

You talking bout the game itself or RA3?

If its tiberium wars itself then you need to email EA and explain you bought the game second hand and that you need a new CD key. They'll tell you not to buy second hand and ask for the number on the CD

When they have this they'll send you a new CD key. Took less than a day for me

With regards to the beta then you cant do anything

which email address did you email and how did you word your emails ? (Still got them in the outbox?)

I tried this with Battlefield 2142 but because the serial was tied to a user account they wouldn't give me another one.

Ended up having to get the account detail off of the seller and changing it to my email address.
 
just had my first full game in the beta and it was ok, i still prefer the c&c3 gfx as they are more 'crisp' ... time will tell if this is going to be a purchase

I bought a copy of the game used from a computer store, and its been registered online with someone elses account. Is there anyway I can have this reset at all if i sent a picture of the box and manual with my code on?

If you have purchased a previously registered copy of your game, you will not be able to create a brand new account. You will need to get the user name and the password from the person that sold the game to you. If you do not have the user name and password, or the registration code for your copy of the game, then we will not be able to assist you.

We do not recommend that you purchase used software or accounts off the Internet, unless you are sure that you are buying a brand new game which has never been registered.

I've got the username and password from the person i bought it off, is there now any way of changing them so they're what i choose and are linked to my email address? I know its been done before as I know someone that has achieved it.

Thanks for contacting EA.

We can give you a new serial number, but to do that you will need to update this incident with your full name and postcode, and sku number so that we can assign a new number to you personally. We will then email the replacement serial number to you. The sku number is an alphanumeric number located on the bottom of any of the disks that came with the game. We will then email the replacement serial number to you.

Alternatively, you can call us and, once we have taken some details from you, we will be able to supply you with a new number. Please make sure that you have the game's CD in front of you when you call. You can contact us by telephone on 0870 2432435 between 9 am and 9 pm Monday to Friday.

I played it last night briefly, and was very dissapointed.

They use the same tired SAGE engine, it just feels too much like Generals.

I liked Generals, but it was a different game, Red Alert 3, I don't care what anyone says, should be 2D, the graphics could be improved in 2D anyway in comparison with RA2, but im more interested in gameplay than graphics.

These days it's all about how good the graphics are, forgetting fast, fluid gameplay.

And it's "OMGZ it has to be 3d" when the best RTS' were 2D! (RA2/YR)

Hopefully I will get used to it, but to be honest, im not sure yet!
 
Gameplay to me is pretty slow, seems to take forever to build enough cash up to buy things, and i really dont like this new way of collecting ore. Just seems to slow the cash process down. Everything just feels sluggish for some reason.

The shogun battleship is WAY, WAY too overpowered.

4 Aircraft Carriers, 4 Assault Destroyers, 12 Dolphins and 4 Century bombers vs 12 Shoguns, I lost every single unit and my entire base and he lost 2 Shoguns. I even hit the Shoguns with a timb bomb ability but it didn't help.
 
fileplanet sucks - been downloading now for about 10 hours at 30 to 50 kbs. OMG like dial up days. Nothing to do with my connection. Same was for Space seige demo - ended up downloading that from Fileshack at 600kbs. So it must be fileplanet - they suck!!!!!

Also have no choice for english server when I go to download. all I get are the US servers - anyone know why?

How can it be my ISP if I get over 600kbs on Fileshack? 8mb connection here btw. I normally max at 750kbs tops.

edit - just tested downloading space seige demo from fileshack again and getting 660 kbs and that is from the US eastern sea board - got to be fileplanets problem not mine.

edit again - Sky Broadband for me. Have no problems with pings on game at all.

Join the club, fileplanet for me has been ass slow for a couple of years now, subscriber servers or even uk servers, im lucky breaking 100kbps on my 20meg connection.

Virgin media broadband
