Hey all,

Going to go test drive a Legacy 3.0R Spec B this weekend, seeing as someone is finally picking up the WRX on Monday.

250ish bhp from a Flat 6 3.0
Same 6 speed gearbox as the STi along with the differentials
Bilstein (sp?) suspension etc
Full leathers, heated/electric seats
Satnav etc

Any one got any opinions on this car? It sounds great, haven't read a bad review yet, and can get a great example for £10k. If I do buy one, I have a feeling it may be one of the first more modified examples in the UK :D

Sounds like a prime target for car jackers!

Not if they're not known about ;) I don't picture them being all that sharp to be honest. But they look nice, go well, and if I get bored there's a whole parts catalogue to go through. Obviously I don't know how it drives or anything yet, so of course I'm reserving judgement until I can do so. But from first impressions it seems like it could be a nice car.

It looks....

Dull.

But that's what your after, right?

And I assume this is what you're talking about?

last two version of the subaru have gone down looks wise IMO... i remember being at the motor show in Birmingham when the 'bug eye' version was on show... now this!

Looks more like a Saab.

as long as you like it though!

its like a cheap plastic BMW :p I do like them though.

Hmm using that theory the mondeo st220 is also a cheap plastic BMW.

Remember kids BMW pwns!!!1

Anyway, what do you think of the Legnum, Scooby?

If I'm honest, a Monaro isn't really an option in terms of insurance and fuel costs. Although I can afford it, I'd rather not.
Accord Type R isn't my kind of car..

I had a 3.0 Rn rather than the Spec B as it hadn't been released at the time. Build quality is superb, engine and handling are very good. Will fell slow compared to the Scooby as the Torque is down on it and also the engine is so smooth. Interior quality if it has the Sat-Nav (which was a very good kenwood unit) was of a higher grade than that of the 330d it replaced.

I'm trying to find pics of the underside at the moment, so if anyone has any, pass them on! An exhaust system won't come easy and so I guess will have to be custom

David Hendry Cars bring the Zero Sport stuff in which they say fits the Euro Spec LEgacy, might be worth giving them a call.
