Supreme Commander AI any good ?

Stick it on the highest setting and it will give you a pasting you wont believe :)

Generally its not too bad though.
 
Expansion pack is pretty good too. I imagine you will get Gold edition anyway, so this comment is in fact totally pointless :D

Yeah will get the gold edition if its there i should have got it today really but in the bk of my mine i thought if the ai no good i would not like it hence why i am asking now cause there not many good rts out atm :( ( with good base building and lots of units :D
 
What's turtle? I haven't played SC on hardest as I find it cheats early on so you just don't have a chance.

But a good tactic is to build up your base, then build several small outposts with shield generators and turrets, then move your army in underneath the shields. You can then deactivate outposts behind them to save power. Once you're close enough after a major strike (which'll mean he's got less units, and yours are still in pristine condition) then attack.
 
The SC AI will rip your arms off then beat you into the ground using the soggy ends at higher difficulty on the bigger maps.

On smaller maps, it's actually pretty good fun because our tiny little lumps of grey-matter can just about deal with balancing economy, building and expansion on a small map.

The only option on big maps is to try and expand as quickly as possible and take control of resource points, because the AI definitely will and it will just overwhelm you with a far superior economy.

I find that a good tactic is to establish a forward base that's in range of the enemy base with 6 - 9 tactical missile launchers. You can then bombard the base with missiles, or if shielded, group them up and have them fire at once so they'll punch through shields and won't allow missile defenses to shoot them all down in time.

I always turtled and got owned by the hardest ai :confused:.
In fact, in Forged alliance, I now even get rushed by when to the point I'm dead within 10 minutes...
 
down load Sorian/ Jaws AI Pack much better than the default on es and lots more option (especially better at water maps.)
