How far is work away?

as of monday when i move to the new depot i'll be less than half a mile from work, instead of the 5miles away it is at the moment, so only a couple of minutes walk.
so car will be getting left in the garage as of monday, which will allow me to get some things i needed done to it then sell it and buy something else, hopefully RWD and fun:D

Last year - Nottingham to Leeds. 65 motorway miles each way. ~30k a year. In a 1.3l Vauxhall Combo :(

Now I work all over the county in a shiny new Transit. Had it 3 weeks and I've done 900 miles so far.

A Month ago I was doing 20 miles each way on my commute.
I now live around 150 yards away as the crow flies. I walk to work in around 2-3 minutes. Bliss :D

2 miles in either the MX5 or the missus' clio 1.2. (Yes I know I should walk, but I am a lazy **** :D)

About 2-3 times a week, work from home the rest of the time.

About 12 feet from my bed, I work from home. :D I use my feet normally.

Other than that I do about 3k miles a month in the company foci 1800 tdci beast. It's amazin' and doesnt break :D

About 45 miles to work (Swindon), so 90 miles each day.

About 21,000 miles each year.

Used to do the trip in my 323i but it was getting expensive (about £80 a week) so now I do a car share with a bloke from work in his Focus TDCi.

0.2 miles from front door to the office. Annoyingly the straight line distance is only about 50 yards.

Mileage is about 4k per year in the car (school run and days put etc) and about 8k on the bike (all just pleasure riding)

The place I start at on Monday is 30 miles away, but its much easier to go by train because its pretty much straight there rather than faffing about dodging traffic and going around towns.
