Picked this up last weekend but I have been working away so today was my first opportunity to give it a good clean.

First impressions so far - woah bloody quick. Certainly quicker than anything else I have driven before and when the turbo kicks in, it shifts! Had to top the oil up yesterday but apart from that it's been fine. Need some new mats and a new headunit, but nothing else requires immediate attention. The front splitter is so low that I keep catching it, think I will need to replace it soon!

I have been looking at these and Civic Type-R's for some months now, I probably preferred the interior and handling of the CTR but didn't like how you needed to rev the nuts out of it. I also liked the fact that the LCR was less common (probably why I had to wait so long until someone priced their car realistically!).

It's a 2004/54 with 44k in the clock. Very pleased with it :)

Very nice.

I was looking at one of these myself but haven't had much luck finding a decent one around here.

How much was it if you don't mind me asking?

Nice car mate, you'll get used to the front splitter catching. I've got one on my vrs... caught it many a time!

When's the remap then? :D

I paid £7750 for it, parkers suggests £9200 with similar mileage and the trade in price is circa £7700. A good buy i'd say ;)

Yes the exhaust is hanging slightly low. I need to get it looked into actually but its not catching or banging so I won't get it done immediately. I think the hangers have a tendancy to snap.

As for a remap, it's unlikely i'll get it done. Power is sufficient for now and i'm meant to be saving for a house from now on. Blew some of my house deposit on this as I was getting annoyed with the current situation of the housing/mortgage market :p

Nice car :)

All you need now is a remap..

Just tell yourself it's the most appropriate thing to do as it will save you money by increasing your fuel economy!! ;) (when driven like a granny)

very nice, used to have a highly tuned 20vt ibiza myself. Just you wait for the common faults to start appearing, coil packs, random engine sensors breaking, water pumps, clutch pedals, expensive brembo pads and discs for the LCR too.

You will probably be wanting to look at the cambelt service at 60k, and replace the waterpump with a brass impellor one not plastic.

Get yourself to jabbasport for the remap, kings in my opinion.

Enjoy it though :)

Why don't people like revving the nuts off cars? It's the best part of motoring:p

Nice car though, get some tyre shine on those tyres!
