OCUK Meets (Do they happe? What are they like?)

yes they happen. used to be a lot of GD meets. Know it's mostly confined to motors.

Yes you do introduce yourself

Hi I'm Acid but my real names Neil...

Or something along those lines.

IIRC most the people attending them are now banned. They started to happen less and less when, IIRC, mods were told that they shouldn't let banned members attend (something that was technically impossible and created resentment) and then just slowly stopped.

lmfao

The mods of an internet forum are to not allow people banned from this forum to meet up in real life with other people on the forum?? Delusions . of . grandeur...

But it's not like it used to be here really, the recent Edinburgh meet kinda showed that... 'Tis a shame.

The Edinburgh meet was a pretty good laugh as far as I was concerned although as pointed out most of the folks there barely post on here now. I'd definitely do it again as the wierdos were all quite pleasant really. :)

Meets are a great laugh but people don't seem to really make the effort like they used to. Now days meets seem to be smaller groups and not as publicly advertised, with just a few people arranging to meet up when they know they'll be close to another OcUK'er :)
