Looking for best performing CPU block around for LGA775

Like the look of the EK supreme with clear top but apparently it is a pain to fit so i am leaning towards the D-Tek fuzion V2

Any comments?

I had to buy a backplate for my v1 fuzion seperately. I think it was a tuniq tower one but it works fine.

Even without a backplate it should be pretty easy to fit as long as you use the right combo of washers, springs and nuts.

Who says the EK is a pain to fit? They're all the same - 4 thumbscrews through the motherboard, get a backplate if you want to do it properly. The EK backplate is the only one I know of that comes with a neoprene insulating mat that means you can really clamp it down tight on the motherboard.

my misunderstanding then.............Might have to wait for this new Swiftech before i decide...

There's very little difference in reality between the top 4 or 5 blocks - if you get anything from the D-Tek FuZion, EK Supreme, XSPC Edge, AquaComputer Cuplex XT di or even the Swiftech GTZ (although if anything goes wrong with Swiftech they blame you and you have to sue them to get your money back) you'll be fine.

I chose the XSPC edge because it's so inexpensive...it performs very closely to the other top blocks and I'm very happy with it. People get carried away with numbers and will pay lots more for a .5c temp difference....but then again watercooling is not the most reasonable way to cool a computer in the first place.

low presure/multi block single loop - XSPC Edge - also have long mounting bolts which really helps when using a backplate.

everything else any of the top 5 will do (as said above)
What ever you most like the look of really :D

The edge has been discontinued unfortunately due to manufacturing issues.

The Delta V3 will be out soon which should be similar but easier to produce.

The new Swiftech GTZ is going to be a very good block also. :)

CPU Blocks - 14/08/08
After a very short product life we are now moving on from the Edge CPU block design, due to production issues we could not manufacture the block in sufficient quantity. To replace the Edge were now working hard on our new block the Delta V3 which should be released before the end of August. We will post some details of the block as we get closer to release.
