Thinking about buying Wiifit from OcUK but they are EU imports - will this work with a UK Wii as aren't the games region locked?

EU is PAL, if it was from America or Japan it wouldn't work as they are NTSC & NTSC/J.

surely you could get it cheaper elsewhere? try the bay or AVforums.

They are easily available at RRP if you sign up to one of the stock checking sites. I get notified several times a day that places have stock. Still have to be quick though.

been looking around and can't find them in stock anywhere else!!! :(

Go to the highstreet dude, (i..e actually get out of your house not just make phone calls!!) I would be surprised if no where had it at RRP (69.99 ?) Many, shops have them in stock where I live which is on outskirts of London.

Only a chump would pay over RRP when they are actually available in many shops. There is just this silly hysteria that some traders and shops are creating that they are out of stock and people are believing them because of previous Wii hardware shortages.

I got the Mrs one from highstreet on the day of release, walked into the 1st shop and they said that the stock had just arrived in. Guess i was lucky.

Have patience, your falling for the Nintendo create false panic buying. My mrs wants it but I wont pay a penny above £69.99 and will buy more than one for the guarenteed nintendo wii fit xmas shortage

Yep, available on the chav's favourite High Street store for RRP. A colleagues picked one up for his missus and kids just before the weekend. Not as hard to come by as you'd think.

just been out to 10 different stores in Coventry city centre and they were all sold out bar one and they were selling it for £100 preowned

can anyone link me to one of these stock checking sites?

C'mon, just Google exactly what you are looking for - e.g. "Wii Fit stock checker". It should be the top result, not hard :o

If you think I'm being harsh, I doubt we would be able to link to it anyway due to competitors.

Yep, the logo at the top of this page tells me that we'd be linking to a direct competitor so I'm not gonna post where you can get them, but follow Nismo's advice and you'll be sorted.

LOL - none in stock on any of the stores listed :p

I might just go for the OcUK import or I might just wait - haven't decided yet!

Have you just been told you're critically obese and need to lose some weight or something? No way would i pay that much even if i was, i''d rather go for a jog :o

Nope but if you sign up to the mailing list it will email you when one of them does. Like I said, I get them most days.

Still better than paying over the odds for something which I guarantee you will get bored of sooner, rather than later.

lol, it's not for me it's for the wife. I bought her a Wii on Saturday and she really wants Wii Fit. I don't mind paying a little extra to get it sooner tbh and when she gets bored of it I will flog it on the bay during the xmas shortage and get my money back :)

Damn you lot and your common sense... I had it in the shopping basket with a pair of Sennheiser HD 555 Stereo Headphones and was ready tp click proceed, but then a little voice of reason told me to delete it - still got my headphones though :D
