Bring on the trumpets

Seems to have got a laugh out of quite a few people though, so if those people see the stuff in a shop, the chances of them purchasing it due to the funny advert may be higher then if there was no advert.

So...we need a poll to see how many people liked the advert, and how many people didn't like it. Then we can roughly gauge how good of an advertising method this was, assuming people that liked it are more likely to purchase their product, and people that disliked it are less likely to purchase their product.

thats stupid though. I don't avoid something because it's advert was crap :/

You must be remarkably swayed by advertising...

Tbh, you probably do, even if it is subconsciously, and perhaps just avoidance through preference of another product's advertising.

And it's not so much that the advert was crap (ie. it looked like it had a budget of 5 pence) but the fact that it had pointless, random crap in it, just like those ridiculous Playstation adverts. Just tell me about the product, show me the product, and that's all, I don't want to see all this useless, random and annoying crap that isn't at all relevant.

Not really, it is just following the purpose of advertising to a logical conclusion. The idea is obviously that you should buy if the advert is good (and you think the product could be worth the money) so flip that and the advert is poor/annoying therefore you don't buy. I'm not sure if I've ever bought something or avoided it because of advertising but I can understand why you would.

And just to be picky, you also need to work on your apostrophe positioning. Remove the one from "it's" and you need one in "thats".

I love their adverts, I think the pineapple one is better though :)

As I don't buy sweets, it wouldn't have any effect on my purchases though. I just think the ads are funny :)

"Hahahahahahaha, TRUMPETS." :D

A million times better than the DFS adverts anyway and that windows guy "I SAID YE BAH WUN YE GET WUN FREE"

These adverts are great, they make me LOL every time. My particular favourite is the pineapples one:
