My MX3100 has broke and they are replacing it with a MX3200. My only concern is that the mouse doesn't have a charging cradle...what do you think of it?

Is the desktop set any good.

It is a very good set, I really like it. Love the mouse (million times better then the mx1000 i had before), the action on the keys is good. The mouse batteries last ages and ages, i think i've replaced them twice in the last year and a bit and i'm a heavy user (have yet to replace the kb batteries).

The worst thing about it is the scroll/zoom bar on the keyboard, it's terrible, i was always hitting it and zooming in on internet pages.

To disable it there isn't an option in the software so hit the fn key and the X key together and that should do the trick.

As above, the scroll and zoom bit is God awful, you're pretty much guaranteed to hit it numerous times when not meaning to.
We've got a lot of these at work, so long as you're on rechargeable batteries and can teach yourself to avoid the zoom bit, they are nice to use.

You guys know if you install uBerOptions you can set those awful buttons/sliders to do other things (or nothing) right? :P

Why get a kit and stick with it? :p I have an S510 kit but I threw the mouse in the bin as it's poop and use the MX Revolution :D

The MX Rev gets lots of bad input, most claim the MX1000 is overall better esp if you play games as well as normal use (in this very forum).

I have used the VX for a lappy and its ok but nothing special.

I have had 4 MX 1000 mice, all superb, the MX Rev is just as good (I have had 3 of these over the years) in games, moreso in games because it weighs less than the MX1000 so is easier to move quick with thus compensating for the slight drop in imaging resolution (1000 vs 800).

If you have a decent setup you won't notice the difference and I don’t normally comment so highly of any piece of hardware without using it for a while or having competing products to compare it against 

I have had the VX too and found it not as good as the MX revolution even though they share the same laser they feel like very different mice.

I buy one, buy another test it out, sell it, sell the other etc.

The majority of them have just aged though. I use them furiously each day so the wheel button starts to go iffy or something so I just raise an RMA with Logitech who send me a nice new one.

Nice folk.

Yeah the MX1000 comes with the MX3100 kit, was a very good mouse to me...

...I just hope the MX600 that comes in the MX3200 kit does just as well because it doesn't look at nice as the MX1000 - i'm guessing its a model down mice wise?...

ive recently had my mx3100 replaced with the mx3200 and im really pleased with it.

when i first saw the mouse, i didnt think it looked as nice as the mx1000 but its really good, decent in games. Keyboard is great apart from the zoom which i have only caught once or twice :p.

Its a lot quieter to type with vs the keyboard in the mx3100.

Damn softouch keys, I prefer the clicky ones. :(

Think I need make this MX3100 kit last me forever, all newer Kits don't float my boat and I wont use Bluetooth.

mrk- blatantly taking advantage of the RMA process there!

The mx1000 is the best mouse i've ever used- annoying though that they print the logitech and bluetooth logos on and they rub off over time though!

I'm glad that the keyboard is quieter because the MX3100 keyboard did make a lot of noise when you type.

Yeah I found this too!
