Cover songs that actually do the original justice.

Oooh I have The Killing Moon (Echo and the Bunnymen) and Ever Fallen in Love by them :p

Nirvana - The Man Who Sold the World

A.F.I - Man in a Suitcase

I have both albums, Band A Part and Nouvelle Vague. Beautiful reworkings of old songs, really love chilling out to them.

Apocalyptica are just ace. I didn't think Korn's cover of One was too bad either.

I won't be getting out either. Manson's covers really were gash. I like a fair chunk of his own music but I couldn't listen to those covers more than once without getting irritated by them.

I thought the idea of the thread was that they're better than the original (or at least on a par with), not that they are standalone good songs. Do you honestly prefer the original Tainted Love to Mansons?

Edit: i'm not doubting that you do, i'm just curious.

stevie ray vaughan - any of his hendrix covers
garry moore - all your love
timo gross - all your love (can you tell I like that song)

Metallica - Sabbra Cadabra
Metallica - Die, Die my Darlin.
Metallica - Turn the Page

All i could think of that are great covers :D
