I've always loved the look of the Alfa Romeo 75 and 155.

I like the way the bonnet line ignores the passenger cell (making it very clear it's a saloon) and then carries on along the boot.

I also like the Fiat Multipla, I don't think I find it beautiful. I almost think because it knows it's lumpy and it doesn't care.

I'll note the Multipla like the Alfas has a line running from the bonnet to the back of the car, even though there's no boot for it connect up with.

Not sure how any of the above aren't "mainstream", they all are/were.

But if we are talking "not all that many on the road, especially these days", then the Alfa GTV (late 90's/early 2000's one), and the BMW 8-series.

i dont understand why they didnt raise the bonnet ont he multipla so it was abit smoother looking at the front as there bloody great inside

I think he meant they arent conceived as beautiful by the motoring press/public.

I agree with you on the 155 I love it in the sporty version with the right wheels.

I think the Z4 is one of these cars, I guess a lot of people dont think its a beautiful car but I think it looks fabulous, as well as the Z3M in breadvan format, that thing just looks so mean with its long old bonnet it is gorgeous in my eyes.
 
Nah, what I'm asking is to tell us about cars that most people don't think arn't special in the looks department but you find beautiful.

EDIT: Solid has hit the nail on the head. I agree the Z3 breadvan is nice, very reminiscent of '70s GTEs like the Scimiter.
 
Z4: Nice from the side, awesome from the back..... but those lights at the front just look terrible - like it has droopy eye lids or something.
