3850>>>4850?

Which games do you play and what's your CPU setup?

You will get more out of your gaming experience by upgrading the monitor....1440x900 is lower than 1280x1024. poo :p

For us that are using pants CRT monitors that only use 1280x1024 resolution though, there isn't that much of a useable difference. :p

Not that I mind playing at apparently low resoultions.

Sorry all that I didn't post back yesterday (been busy).
Atm, I'm writing up an M.A. so the gpu could be a reward to finishing! A monitor, now thats a nice idea. :) I'm currently running a Q6600 @3.2Ghz, abit ix38 QuadGT, 4GB Corsair TwinX DDR2 PC6400.

Not been playing anything much of late -re M.A. (reinstalled NFS:MW for a laugh between chapters!) Probably be playing Bioshock once I've some time. Looking forward to Spore tho.

New gpu overkill? Might get one anyway!

Cheers guys.

I'm in the same situation, I'm wondering whether it's worth upgrading from my 3850 256MB to a 4850 512MB when my gaming resolution is 1280x1024 (which is the max I can go up to on a 17 inch monitor I think). I haven't got a problem with the monitor and it's fine for gaming etc, so would it actually be worth upgrading? The main games I'm interested in at the moment are Warhammer Online, Spore and Fallout 3 (but I'm also getting this on the 360, the PC version I would buy generally because of the modding aspects). Other than that theres not much I'm interested in atm for the PC.
