If, by crying you mean brought a tear to my eye then yes, there's been a few:

The Shawshank Redemption(first time I saw it).
The English Patient.
August Rush.
The Pianist.

Can't think of anymore at the moment, I'm sure there's been loads.

Animeation/Anime based on a book by a survivor of the Tokyo fire bombing iirc, to just call it a cartoon is grossly underestimating it.


The Green Mile and Shawshank both always make me well up, as do a number of others (Armageddon, Gunbuster*.

I'm a complete wuss, but then losing my mother when I was only 22 and having long term separation issues with my 2 sons due to a beech of an ex does tend to make me a bit edgy and sensitive as I try to keep it in.

but apart from that nothing i can think of really, definently not cried to a film since secondary school at least.

I watched Forest Gump again a few weeks back, the bit where he was talking to Jennys grave made me well up, I couldn't belive it, was in bed by myself almost crying, not like me at all. Emo

Completely agree with this too.

For some reason anime is much more sad than "live action" films. The only one that has come close to being as sad as Grave of the Fireflies is Monster.
