This is intriguing.

Allows you and others online to build almost anything at the same time, imagine that, the OcUK forum in the same "universe" builiding stuff together?

Is scheduled for release in 2009 and will work on a monthly subsription model.

Being part of the Lego brand, wouldn't this catch the attention of 10 year olds rather than 20 year olds? I like the idea but when I think Lego, I think youngsters. It's just not going to work within an online environment.

It will only attract me if I can build a death cannon and go round destroying other peoples stuff.

I am big time looking forward to seeing what this game is like, and I'm 26. The ability to build has to be central to the game and you have to be able to build what you want just like real life lego. Lets see what they produce!

Or to put it another way Pirates and Ninjas!

Not really, us older folk are the ones that grew up with lego. Sounds like an interesting idea.

This is interesting. I remember when Tocuk was alive that a small online lego game popped up. You could build anything with your own server of people and we all loved it.. we built ships and everything.. think ive still got some screens..

I've had my eye on this for a while, and as an avid lego collector (in the past) I am certainly looking forward to it.

New LEGO Universe trailer

looks great fun

The game is based around these evil entities that are stealing peoples imaginations, since everything in the LEGO universe is built through peoples imaginations... this is pretty darn serious!

The game features mainly on a co-op based PvE environment from what we can gather so far; and is slightly platform like similar to what we've seen with LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Batman etc...etc...

Gametrailers have a full CES 5 video spread of gameplay and features, so well worth heading over there for a proper look.

or how about the people that grow up with lego that are now in their 20-30's that would be playing this?

If free like guildwars then cool be nice to build a ship or car or bike and just travel about.

Better be actual brick by brick part by part taking your time not the crap rapid build auto from the lego games past experiance.
