HTC touch diamond

Can anyone elese download the Rom Update i.e the firmware? I cant gain access to it! I am sitting on version 1.37.00.00! There are a few improvements included so I want to get a hold of it!
 
Where are the updates? On the t-mobile site I can only see updates for the MDA I/II/III (Spotted an update to WM6 for my III - updated a treat)

For the IV the rom version I have is 1.37.110.3 WWE 06/20/08

This was for a device purchased within the past 10 days. Is this the latest rom?
 
Is there a way on this phone to only pick up when I press the pick up button. The phone seems to auto answer after one ring which is quite annoying, because if I dont hear the ring it auto picks up and I dont know about it.

It's a setting mate, got mines had calls redirected from when I turned it on, thot there was somethign up lol! Anyways go into Settings>Phone>More and there should be an option which answers the phone automatically after so many rings so just uncheck that and u **** be ok to go!

Thanks. I think the reason I found that the phone self answers is that the touch screen gets knocked in my pocket so it answers. Ive had a look at Xda developers and found that this is a known problem as you cant just answer the phone using the buttons.

Thats probably true, I like how it vibrates when the other line answers your call....but the voice is usually notice enough :p Iv not had a touch screen since the LG Prada so I am still trying to decide if I actually do like the phone, I may take a trip to XDA and see what kind of ROM's they have available in which to speed up the phone because it has been a tad sluggish so far. I'm definately getting more used to it and I am enjoying using it.

Here's a question though, can you get the phone to power on itself to play an alarm? I think I have to leave the phone on for the alarm function to actually work.
 
Anyone able to connect their diamond to the internet via activesynce/usb?

I have a touch pro and haven't been able to get it to work. I've now done a hard reset of the device, re-installed active sync and I'm about to try again. Any suggestions?

I also have outlook on my pc that is connect to an exchange server, should that matter at all.

Mine works fine,
Try going to Start > Settings > Connections >USB to PC and check Enable advanced network functionality.

Mine's checked but i literally just opened the box 20 mins ago. So I'm not sure.
Anyone with msn able to help me update my ROM? I just got this phone on orange and don't want to screw it up.

Aye tried that. After playing around it would appear that the T-Mobile proxy setting is upsetting activesync. Works fine when the proxy is removed, but then can't access web via the phone until the proxy is reset.

As I understand it's a known issue and there's a regedit to sort it out - although have now tried that and that didn't work either :confused:
 
Thinking of getting one of these over a brick N95 or buggy C902.

Was put off by the reports, but with tweaks (overclocking:D) and an updated rom this seems like a great peice of kit. plus I hate thick phones.

Available on O2 yet as I upgrade in the next week through retentions ?
 
Orange seem to be the only network that doesnt have the phone specifically branded i.e its called the HTC Touch Diamond and it has weird names on the T-Mobile and O2(XDA something I believe). The size of the phone is great for the feature pack and lets be honest its just damn sexy for a phone :p

Im still having the alarm issue, looks like my phone will be on constantly....or il buy a proper alarm haha!
 
Anyone have a problem when clicking links?

If you double click a link too quick it goes to zoom mode. If you double click too slow nothing happens.

In order to navigate a link you have to first zoom in (fast double tap) and then tap the link again (slow double tap).
