4870 BIOS with increased voltage

Wow that sounds great, i'm hitting 70 degrees with 33% fan speed, it should go a lot higher, if i could get something like 850 on the card i would be extremely happy :D
 
Me to. But before I got artifacts I tried out crysis and was getting between 30-40fps with all setting high on 1920x1200 and 20-25fps with all on very high. Was such a boost! But no good if artifcats start when your on desktop. My settings were 850 core and 1000 mem. I have a saphire 4870 with fast speed at 37% and temps at 43-45C idle.

How did you flash your card? you use winflash?
 
When I try to go back to original bios which i saved using GPU-Z 2.7 winflash says P/N mismatch now. How did you go back? I will try the asus ones now I guess.
 
i here everyone is using the ati flash to flash there cards,it says you have to do it in dos but how will i do it in dos when dont have a floppy,they said you can use a usb stick but i tried formatting it to dos but wouldnt have it,anyone got a step by step guide on how to do it using ati flash cheers
 
Restarted my computer. The artifacts on desktop are all gone now. Is this normal? I mean I had lowered core to 750 and memory to 990 (990 is the lowest in ccc) before i restarted and the artifacats would not go away. After restart they gone. Perhaps the bios is ok, just could not handle the 850 core and artifacts only go away after restart?

I tried to flash to asus topbios but now i am getting SubsystemIDs mismatch error. I am using winflash2012. What did you use Raven?

I have not flashed yet. Since I restarted I have tried it out with atitool and max i can get artifact free is about 800 core and 1100 memory without artifacts. or about 820 and 1150 with ati tool register some artifacts now and then.


Anyone here tried it out and is artifact free over 800 core?

Woah I never knew it started just like that, just flashed mine by accident, with CPU overclocked with too little voltages and crap laods running :eek:
 
LOL same thing with me, didn't realize it was an exe file and it flashed the card in Vista and i had loads going on, even had BF2 in the background, all was OK though.
 
It has worked, 845 now able to loop crysis and do 3dmark.

temps have shot up about 5-10 degrees though!, would be a no go with the stock cooler this, would have to be insanely loud to keep it cool.

I cant get 8.6hotfix or 8.7 drivers to install with this card now, only 8.8, and 8.8. give me stuttering in 3dmark (I think its the drivers)

Really not happy with 1100 on the ram too, when drivers installed I put it down to 1000, dont want a dead card now!
 
Does anyone still have the .exe file for this bios that they could send me? The file is down at the linked location over at xtreme systems forums and I wouldn't mind giving this bios a go. Thanks
