Kosovo wanted independance from Serbia. They got it. The West fully supports it.

South Ossetia (and Abkhazia) wants independance from Georgia. The West absolutely refuses to support it. They still haven't gave a real explanation as to why.
 
Its good to see we are the UK that is standing up to Russia all we need now is the rest of the pansies from Europe to follow suite I cant see it happening though.

That sounds suspiciously like a Euro-random, bitter that his country still has no place on the international stage apart from weed and hookers.

Supporting an idiotic state that likes to poke bears with sticks (Georgia), and ignoring the blatant hypocrisy of the situation considering the similarity to Kosovo, that's a good thing?
 
I think the British military has the 2nd highest power projection, meaning it's the 2nd best in the world at deploying it's force to another part of the world if I understand the term correctly. However this doesn't mean Britain would be able to invade and conquer countries such as Russia, as even though they have a lower power projection they are capable of defending their land.

Maybe it does, but I'm Australian/British. I just don't see how Britain has any power on the world stage as a unilateral force. China, Russia, the US and India all do. Too many people fail to realise that with the Empire went all the power.

I'm not sure about that, we definitely aren't a superpower any more that can throw it's weight about but I think Britain is still significant enough to have some say on the world stage, definitely more say than India for example.
