Yes I know its about now, but does anyone have a review of it, but more about how they got the 360 innards to fit into the case, with pics?

Some reviews say they have done it, then dont show any pictures of a fitted working unit, which makes me think they havent bothered at all. :(

PMSL, of course that SHOULD have occured to me to go look.

But was wondering if their was a similar thing with a real world test, they are going to tell ya the kinda problems that wont officially be mentiond.

Somewhere has it for £60 +VAT pre-order.

There is a first look of it (do a google because I'm not sure if I can link to it), they say it's good at keeping the noise and temps down but you can see they've kept costs low and isn't up to the same standards as their PC cases.

Id get one but my Elite doesn't seem to have much problem keeping cool.

Yep read a review thru engadget that it wasnt Lian's usualy heavy standard, but even a mediocore case from them would still be good, also heard some mentions about USB acessability.

Mines the older PSU one, but I like the look of it and the "have a go" fun of it...
well I say fun...you know what I mean...
Have seen it for about £60.

Not gonna stop the DVD drive sounding like an oven extractor tho :(

If you go to the trouble of transferring the hardware into a new case, you might as well flash your drive and set it to a lower read speed in the process. Then it will be quieter.

Either that or wait for game installs with the new dash.

Im going to buy one, i asked yewen, and overclockers will be getting them in. I looked at the place thats doing them for £59 + VAT, but carriage on top, its nearly £80, i dunno how much they will be from overclockers, but around £60 and its a no brainer for me.

i wonder how many people will risk a console transplant?

mark - i asked at overclockers for a lian li pc case i want - you may be in for a bit of a wait

Your all mental...

Why would you consider putting a console into a PC case, invalidating the warranty in the process, the mind boggles???

It's a shame it's so big. I'm not a big fan of the looks of the 360 as standard so I think an aftermarket case is a great idea, but I'd like to see a nice case of a similar size to the original, I'd buy that. As it stands the Lian-Li is too big :(

People who would do it have probably invalidated their warranty already anyway.

Anyway, hairdryer sorts all that out :D

It's only that big to allow for better cooling, otherwise it (the Lian-Li) would be pointless. Only other marketed replacement cases have been clones (in different colours) of the original unfortunately.

I appreciate that, but IMO it wouldn't be 'pointless', because the reason I would want to change the case is purely for looks, I couldn't care about extra cooling/quietness.

Yes, I meant it would be pointless if the Lian-Li was that size for any other reason for than better cooling. If it didn't provide better cooling then it would be useless.

Optional 3rd party cases different to the original, that just looked cool, would be great :)
