As much as I'd hate it I can see McCain taking the presidency. Obama really needs to sort himself out.

One of the things Obama/Biden are running on is their opposition to the Iraq war and the inability of the Bush administration to finish things in Afghanistan. You certainly can't say that all Americans love war. And they certainly do care about policy - it's really bread-and-butter economic (taxes, manufacturing, drilling) and social (abortion, gay marriage, faith) issues that will decide this election.

Palin is a clever choice. She brings some much-needed pizazz to the ticket, she's younger than Obama, she's popular in Alaska, she's a bit of a maverick, whilst being a strong conservative... and she's a woman. Problem is, nobody really knows her.
